Mayor Rickie Adkins served on the Planning Commission for two years,  the City Council for three years and is presently serving her second term as Mayor.  Mrs. Adkins has five children and seven grandchildren.  She is a native of Elizabethtown, KY and has been a resident of Niederwald since 1991.  Mrs. Adkins has a diversified employment background and was most recently employed as the Office Supervisor and Bookkeeper at the District Office of H&R Block, San Marcos, TX for three years.  Mrs. Adkins is also the owner-operator of BlackHorse Ranch & Kennel, Niederwald, TX.
